Heat pumps are the future of home heating and cooling—and the primary focus of these rebates.
A heat pump efficiently heats and cools a home by moving heat instead of creating it. By transferring energy rather than burning fuel, it uses less electricity and lowers energy costs.
For most homes with existing ductwork, the heat pump installs just like your current system—equipment in your utility area and a unit outside. Your existing thermostat controls everything. No wall-mounted units, no visible changes to your living space.
Heat pumps transfer heat rather than generate it, making them up to 3 times more efficient than gas furnaces. That means lower energy bills.
Modern cold-climate heat pumps work efficiently even when temperatures drop below zero. They're specifically designed for Colorado winters.
Works with your existing furnace. The heat pump handles heating and cooling most of the year, and your furnace can kick in as backup during Colorado's coldest days.
Heat pumps run on electricity and are 2-3x more efficient than gas furnaces. Keep your furnace as backup for extreme cold, or go all-electric — either way, you'll use far less energy.
Still have questions about heat pumps? That's what we're here for. Our team will assess your home and help you decide if a heat pump is right for your situation—or if another option makes more sense.
Colorado received a fixed amount of federal funding for this program. When it's gone, it's gone—and families are claiming these rebates every day. Check your eligibility now in just 5 minutes.
Check Your EligibilityThe Colorado Home Energy Rebate Program is a state-run initiative funded by the federal Inflation Reduction Act. It provides rebates to Colorado homeowners who upgrade to high-efficiency heating and cooling equipment. The goal is to help families save money on energy bills while reducing emissions.
Eligibility is based on your household income relative to your county's Area Median Income (AMI). Households below 80% AMI can receive rebates covering up to 100% of project costs. Those between 80-150% AMI can receive rebates covering up to 50% of project costs—but the maximum rebate amounts are the same for both groups. The easiest way to find out is to use our chat assistant—in about 5 minutes, we'll verify your eligibility and show you exactly what rebates apply to your situation.
A heat pump is an all-in-one system that both heats and cools your home. It works like an air conditioner in summer, but reverses in winter to pull heat from outside air into your home. Modern cold-climate heat pumps work efficiently even in Colorado winters. They're significantly more efficient than traditional furnaces and are the focus of these rebates—but we'll assess your specific situation and recommend the best option for your home.
The rebate is applied directly to your project cost—you don't have to pay full price and wait for reimbursement. Depending on your eligibility and the scope of work, you may pay little to nothing out of pocket. Once you qualify through our chat, we'll schedule a visit to give you a clear breakdown so there are no surprises.
We're one of the few HVAC contractors in Colorado approved to offer HEAR rebates, which means we can process your rebates directly—most contractors can't do this yet. We've been serving Colorado families since 2013 with over 429 five-star reviews. We're also an Xcel Energy trade partner, so we know how to stack utility rebates on top of state rebates to maximize your savings. And we handle all the paperwork—you just enjoy the new system.
From consultation to installation typically takes 2-4 weeks, depending on equipment availability and scheduling. The rebate approval process is handled alongside your project, so there's no long wait for reimbursement—the discount is applied to your invoice.
